Rules
At least one composition is required to be performed acappella, without pitched accompaniment, although all compositions may be performed acappella if desired. Performances may take place in any key, and selections may be published or transposed. Live bands/Instruments are not allowed. If you intend to provide your own music, please submit your full 5 minute track via email before February 1st, 2025. You may perform a medley or multiple songs, as long as the performance does not exceed 5 minutes.
Performance time
Choirs are limited to (5) minutes for their performance, including time for setting up and breaking down.
Accompanying instruments
At present, choirs are restricted to utilizing prerecorded music submitted prior to performance, with no live instruments on stage permitted this year.
Costume and dress
Choirs are required to wear appropriate clothing, or choir robes.
Safety
Choirs are not allowed to use certain items, such as weapons, fog machines, or open flames.
Judging
Choirs will be judged on their cohesiveness, technical ability, artistic quality, and communication.
Code of conduct
Choirs are expected to follow a code of conduct that includes treating others with respect and kindness.
(No Booing the competition.)
